Land Training - Open to all members

​

Your new trainer is Liam Powell. He has a First Class Honours Degree in Physical Education and Sports Studies. He is also a qualified primary school teacher specialising in PE, his experiences include working in youth football as a coach and has previously worked and, in children holiday sports camps.

 

He holds a current first aid certificate, safeguarding and prevent training and is fully DBS checked.

Mondays from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Please enter the school off Wells Hall Road and park in Beech car park, the Symphony Hall is then accessed through the main school entrance.

 

Welcome to Sudbury Storms

Sudbury & District Swimming Club caters for swimmers of all ages and abilities. Weekly coaching sessions are provided for transition swimmers (those progressing from Swim School), with progressive coaching leading through ultimately to squad training and competition. Various levels of competition are catered for and training tailored to suit, from in-house fun galas through to county, regional and ultimately national competition level.

 

Being an all-inclusive club, we integrate disabilities across the full spectrum of our coaching offering.

 

Coaching Statement

 

Assistant Coaches (ASA/Swim England Level 1) are able to coach swimmers to the full extent of their knowledge following a detailed session plan. This session plan having been written by a Swim England Level 2 Coach which includes information on the execution of strokes, turns and dives.

Fees

 

Annual membership to the club is £42 - charged pro-rata on whole months for new joiners, based on 1 September as the start of the club year.  In recent years a discount has been offered to current members for renewals.

 

Membership

 

Under the terms of our constitution, all swimmers under 16 must have a full adult member of the club also.  When joining the club as a non-swimmer, there is no club fee, but there will be a fee of £6.70 for joining Swim England.
